Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has praised Danny and Nicky Cowley ahead of their tie against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
Blackburn Rovers are ready for a tough game when they face Huddersfield Town, says manager Tony Mowbray. The Terriers hit a strong run of form prior to the international break, beating both Stoke City and Hull City.
Now, speaking ahead of the game, Mowbray has praised both Danny and Nicky Cowley, saying that his side are expecting a tough game at Ewood Park. The Rovers boss said:
“They are nice lads, we’ve had a lot of conversations with them in recent years, they’ve tried to take a few of our players.
“They had Scotty Wharton on loan a few times and chased Joe Nuttall for long periods. We played them in pre-season a few years ago.
“I like them, they are articulate, thoughtful, clever and they have a teaching mentality so their team will be very well organised as I’ve seen from their recent games I’ve watched. We know it’s a tough game.
“They have some players who played in the Premier League last year with good physical attributes and they have raw materials to work with.
“It’s a dangerous game for us. They’re coming on the back of a couple of victories but for us it’s an opportunity at home to find a performance level that’s too much for the opposition to cope with and hopefully get the three points.”
