According to a report from Birmingham Live, West Brom loan star Matheus Pereira has already agreed personal terms with the Baggies should his loan move be made into a permanent one.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, negotiations between West Brom and Sporting Lisbon over a deal for winger Matheus Pereira went on for a fair while, eventually settling on a deal which will see the Brazilian spend the season with the Baggies and an option for a permanent deal is also agreed between the two clubs.

The £9 million deal can be triggered if the Baggies win promotion or if Pereira makes a certain amount of appearances. And, now it has emerged that should the clause be triggered, personal terms are already in place for the winger.

West Brom fans will be thrilled with this news, given that he has made a great impression in his short time at the Hawthorns. The 23-year-old has scored two goals and provided four assists so far this season, playing in an attacking midfield role or out on either the left or right-wing. His strong performances for Slaven Bilic’s side has helped West Brom rise to the top of the table after 11 matches.

Should Pereira make the move away from Sporting Lisbon to join West Brom, it will be the first time in his career that he has been away from Sporting on a permanent basis. Having come through the club’s youth academy, he has previously spent time on loan with the likes of GD Chaves and FC Nuremberg.
