Sensational £300M plan for Leeds United.

This summer, Leeds United were the subject of intense take-over interest from one of the richest set-ups in world football. QSI (Qatari Sports Investment), who are the current owners of Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in investing in the West Yorkshire club, only to be rebuffed by current owner Andrea Radrizzani.

The head of QSI, Nasser Ghanim Al-Khelaifi and Leeds United majority owner Andrea Radrizzani are friends and associates, which added fuel to the rumour that Leeds were set to become one of the richest and most powerful football clubs in the world, but as the summer rolled on, the rumours started to mellow and nothing eventually came of them.

However, according to Football Insider, the Leeds United boss has other, rather exciting plans.

Radrizzani is confident that the club will we valued at circa £300million if they reach their goal of promotion within two years, so is happy to hold onto his seventy five percent majority stake for the time being, meaning that the Italians commitment to gain promotion cannot be questioned.

His initial valuation, should Leeds gain promotion this season and avoid relegation next season is £250million, a far cry from the valuation of the club when Radrizzani decided to sell 25% of his share to the San Francisco 49ers for £11million last year, when the club was valued at £45million.

Add to any pending promotion the building of a state-of-the-art training facility, which the club have had the green light to develop closer to the ground, along with the re-acquisition and improvements to Elland Road and the notable improvements to the playing squad and management, the future could be very bright for Leeds United Football Club and very lucrative for Andrea Radrizzani.

But it is Premier League football that will either fulfil or quash the Italians plans, so the progression of the current regime has to be prioritised at this moment in time.
