Matty Palmer

Palmer, 21, is considered to be an exciting prospect at The Pirelli Stadium; he has made 50 appearances for The Brewers in all competitions since breaking into the first team two seasons ago scoring once and getting one assist. despite his minimal goal contribution Palmer has shown himself to be a technically gifted midfielder who has the ability to pick out fantastic passes which could prove to be crucial for Burton in their promotion push this season. The fact that Palmer has only picked up three yellow cards in the league shows that, while he may not be the most defensive player in the world, he is not a liability in the middle or someone who is going to be suspended every other game.

The signing of John Mousinho could push Palmer back into a rotation role but don’t be surprised to see the young Englishman impress if given the opportunity by manager Gary Rowett.
