According to a report from TEAMtalk, Championship quartet Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City, Queens Park Rangers and Huddersfield Town have all scouted Exeter City winger Randell Williams amid his strong start to the new season.
Exeter City have enjoyed a thoroughly successful start to the new season, leaving them sat at the top of League Two and undefeated in their first 10 games. Winger Randell Williams is one of those to star for the Grecians in the early stages of the season and a number of Championship sides are said to have taken an interest in the 22-year-old.
Williams has provided three assists so far this season and Championship quartet Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City, Queens Park Rangers and Huddersfield Town are all said to have taken a liking to the Exeter City man.
The Championship sides have reportedly been scouting Williams at St James’ Park in the early stages of the season but it awaits to be seen if any of those said to be interested will look to make a formal approach.
Williams has only been at Exeter since January after joining from Watford on a free transfer. He spent a year in total on loan with Wycombe Wanderers from January 2018 to January 2019, playing 29 games in his time with the Chairboys at Adams Park (four goals and two assists).
Exeter have sold some of their young stars to top clubs over the course of the past few years, with Ethan Ampadu joining Chelsea and Ollie Watkins joining Brentford, so it will be interesting to see if Williams becomes the latest to make the step up.
