Tottenham Hotspur could recall Jack Clarke from his loan at Leeds United in the January transfer window.
Spurs may then loan him out to another Championship side, according to a report by talkSPORT.
Clarke, who is 18 years-old, joined the Premier League side from Leeds over the summer for a fee of around £8.5 million on a contract until 2023. Spurs subsequently sent him back out to the Whites on a season-long loan move.
However, Clarke has only played twice for the Yorkshire side so far this season, both of which came in the cup and is frustrated by his lack of first team action under Marcelo Bielsa.
Spurs want him to be playing every week to further his development so are looking into the possibility of recalling him in four months time and loaning him to another Championship side.
Clarke, who is from York, is a product of the Leeds academy having risen up through the youth ranks at Thorp Arch. He made 25 appearances in all competitions last season to help Bielsa’s side get into the Play-Offs.
He also won Leeds’ Young Player of the Year and also gained two caps for England’s Under-20 side.
The reason why Clarke may not be getting action at Leeds so far this term is due to the form of Jack Harrison and Helder Costa and he finds himself further down the pecking order.
Spurs will have to monitor what happens to him between now and January and decide what is best for his development.
