Tranmere Rovers fought from 2-0 down against in-form Peterborough United to draw 2-2 at Prenton Park last night.
The Posh travelled to face Micky Mellon’s side on the back of four straight wins in League One.
Darren Ferguson’s men took the lead through summer recruit Mo Eise early in the second half.
The Posh then doubled their lead two minutes later when Joe Ward set up Ivan Toney which looked enough for them to take all three points home. Toney has now scored eight goals in eight games this season.
However, Tranmere fought back and pulled one back courtesy of defender Liam Ridehalgh.
The Whites then levelled when midfielder Ollie Banks blasted a half volley home to send Prenton Park into raptures.
They could have even won it at the end only for Christy Pym to deny George Ray a last gasp winner.
The result leaves Tranmere 19th in the league and despite only winning once in eight games so far in this campaign, they can take a lot of confidence from their draw against Peterborough.
Here is how their fans reacted on Twitter last night to their creditable draw-
Put in shifts like that for the rest of the season we will soon be climbing that table #TRFC
