Manchester United interested in Stoke City man

Manchester United are being linked with a move for Stoke City defender Nathan Collins.

The Premier League giants could potentially move for the 18-year-old in January, according to a report by the Metro.

Collins broke into Stoke’s first team at the tail end of last season and has been a regular in their backline so far in this campaign.

Collins, who is 6ft 4inc, is seen as one for the future and is highly-rated by Nathan Jones’ side. He signed a new five-year at the Bet365 Stadium in July but Stoke could face a real battle to hold onto him between now and then with the Red Devils on the prowl.

He started his career in Ireland with Cherry Orchard and rose up through their youth ranks before moving over the England in June 2017 to join the Potters.

Collins impressed for their Under-23’s in the last campaign and was handed his senior debut in a Championship fixture against Swansea City in April.
The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international has been playing regularly so far this term and has been one of the few positive aspects of Stoke’s dismal start to the Championship season. Jones’ men have not won a game and are rock bottom of the league.
Collins is no doubt a name to watch out for in the future and Manchester United scouts will keep a close eye on his progress over the coming months.
