Nottingham Forest boss praises travelling fans against Swansea City

Nottingham Forest struck late to beat Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium yesterday 1-0.

Alfa Semedo scored his first goal for the Reds to ensure his side left Wales with all three points and Swansea lost their unbeaten start to the Championship season.

Forest have moved up to 9th in the table and are out of the Play-Offs by a point after their impressive victory.

Their boss, Sabri Lamouchi, is becoming hit amongst their fans and told their official club website after the game: “I am happy with the result but most of all the performance. It was a great performance, we were a little bit down in the first 10-15 minutes but after that we tried to control the game. In the first half we deserved to score at least one, maybe two but we have come back after two weeks with the right mentality and I am so happy for that.”

To win here is not easy, we are the first ones to do it so it is great for the future, and to play with the same mentality to achieve the three points against Barnsley next Saturday. We haven’t won two games in a row yet and it is important to keep going and keep this mentality. I have nice players, a nice group and they are working hard so it is good. They must enjoy this victory, it is not easy to win here.”

He added: “I am happy too because when we play away, the fans are always supporting us. There was a lot of them today, the trip is so long but with three points they can enjoy and be happy going back to Nottingham.”
