Ahmed Elmohamady has said gaining promotion with Hull City in 2013 is the highlight of his career.
The current Aston Villa defender spent five years at the KCOM Stadium and made over 200 appearances for the Tigers.
Elmohamady, who is an Egpyt international with 91 caps to his name, helped Hull gain promotion to the Premier League twice and also played an integral role in their route to the FA Cup final in 2014.
He now finds himself back in the top flight with Villa having earned his third promotion of his career last season with the Midlands side.
The 32-year-old has been reflecting on his career in England to date, as per KingFut: “Getting promoted to the Premier League with Hull City in my first season there was the highlight of my career and it was something huge for the club at the time. I received the Hull player of the year award because I had a really good season that year.”
“The promotion with Aston Villa this year is also one of the highlights of my career because Villa is a big club and one of the biggest in England.”
“For me, the Championship is the toughest league to play in. It’s really tough and there were many obstacles that I had to overcome. Setting a target from the start was important as it helped me overcome any hardships faced and its a huge factor that kept me going.”
