We continue our look at the highest rated League One players on FIFA 20. Here are the top five midfielders-

5. Ben Whiteman, Doncaster Rovers, 69- Donny’s skipper just pips Peterborough United’s George Boyd into the top five. The ex-Sheffield United man has been given stats like 74 for physical, 71 for pace and 65 for passing.

4. Marcus Maddison, Peterborough United, 70- The highly-rated Posh midfielder looks a real talent on this year’s FIFA with impressive ratings of 80 for pace and 71 for dribbling. He is now in his sixth season at London Road.

3. Grant Leadbitter, Sunderland, 70- The former Premier League midfielder joined the Black Cats in January on a free transfer from Middlesbrough. FIFA have handed him a decent 70 for passing. He is a vastly experienced midfielder having played over 500 games in his career.

2. Paul Coutts, Fleetwood Town, 70- He was an impressive coup for Joey Barton’s side over the summer and is the second highest rated third tier midfielder with stats like 70 for passing, 71 for physical and 67 for dribbling. He could arguably still do a job in the Championship.

1. Aiden McGeady, Sunderland, 73- The 33-year-old, who has 93 caps for the Republic of Ireland, comes in at number one. He has some useful ratings such as 78 for dribbling, 76 for pace, 72 for passing and 71 for shooting.
