Halford and Collins up for sale

Sky Sports are reporting that Nottingham Forest duo, Greg Halford and Danny Collins, are up for sale.

Boss Stuart Pearce has told both players that they will be “peripheral figures” during the forthcoming campaign and that they are “free to look elsewhere” for first team football.

Halford was quite the regular last season under Billy Clarke, featuring 36 times in the league, 4 times in the FA Cup and twice in the Capital One Cup (Source: TransferMarkt).

Danny Collins was also used quite a lot under the reign of Billy Clarke. Collins featured 23 times in the Championship, 3 times in the FA Cup and twice in the Capital One Cup (Source: TransferMarkt).

Rumours emerged earlier that Greg Halford was set to start talks with former club Sheffield United, a team that defeated Forest 3-1 in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. FL 72 Transfers Tweeted:

With news being released that Halford, along with Collins, has been transfer listed, Blades fans have pricked up their ears to the sound of a possible Halford return.
