Rotherham United striker targeting first home goal against Bolton Wanderers

Rotherham United striker Freddie Ladapo has said his side are desperate to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat against Doncaster Rovers this weekend.

The Millers face a new-look Bolton Wanderers side at the New York Stadium.

Ladapo, who is 26 years-old, is aiming to score his first home goal for Paul Warne’s side. He joined the Yorkshire club in the summer from Plymouth Argyle, where he scored 19 goals in all competitions last season.

The former Crystal Palace forward has said, as per Rotherham’s official club website: “You can’t prepare for it (Bolton game) easily, that is for sure. Whatever it was before, it clearly won’t be the same now. They’ve had their problems and it’s good for them to overcome them because you don’t want to see that happen to any other club, but we just need to be focused and whatever team they put out, we’re ready and prepared to beat.”

He added: “I still need my first home goal as well. These are things I look at personally that are very important to me and it helps the team as well. We need those points on the board because we want to be as high as possible at the end of the season.”

You see it when there is a big crowd in both the home and the away end, the games tend to have a higher tempo. Everyone is that much louder and the cheers are that much bigger for everything that happens.”
