Leeds United have had their fair share of international stars in the past and will inevitably have more in the future, with the likes of Nigel Martin,Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Woodgate, David Batty, Alan Smith and Paul Robinson amongst the names in the England set up most recently.
But Leeds have had youth in the England set up even more recently, with Lewis Cook (now at Bournemouth), Sam Byram (now at Nottingham Forest) and Jack Clarke (now of Spurs)… but one name that the Leeds United fans are excited about domestically is Ryan Edmondson as he just can’t stop scoring goals for the U23 team.
Edmondson was given his international opportunity by England U19’s boss Paul Simpson yesterday, as the young Lions took on Greece.

Edmondson (18) was handed a starting spot for the game, in which England ran out 3-1 winners, watched by current senior manager Gareth Southgate and England senior players such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harry Maguire, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson to name a few.
It was a very successful debut as Edmondson managed to grab his first England goal on the 55th minute after a shot from a team-mate rebounded off the post and into his path for a nice, easy tap in.

These are positive signs for Leeds and there fans and with the emergence of even more youth in the shape of Leif Davis, Jamie Shackleton and Alfie McCalmont (who also made his senior Northern Ireland debut last night), there is even further scope for success in West Yorkshire.
