Peterborough United’s transfer-listed players could head to Bolton Wanderers

Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has said that there is a “good chance” that some of their transfer listed players could make late moves to Bolton Wanderers this summer.

Having been saved from liquidation, Bolton Wanderers are now looking to bring in a new manager and multiple new players, making for a hectic end to a chaotic summer at the University of Bolton Stadium.

With Wanderers needing so many players, they are likely to move for either free agents or transfer listed players, and Peterborough United have a list of six players who they will let leave before the end of the window. Posh director of football Barry Fry has revealed that he has spoken with the club over the possibility of selling them some of their available players.

“I’ve had a conversation with Bolton who told me their hands are tied until they appoint a new manager,” Fry said to the Peterborough Telegraph.

“They also told me they need to sign 15 players by 5 pm next Monday so they have a list of our available players and what we would want for them.

“There’s a good chance a couple might sign for them. It’s great Bolton have survived. They are still a massive club for League One level.”

On the transfer list at Peterborough United are goalkeepers Aaron Chapman and Connor O’Malley, defender Jason Naismith, midfielders Alex Woodyard and Mark O’Hara and winger Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and the club will be hoping to offload as many as possible before the end of the window.
