Walsall want two more signings before the end of the transfer window

Walsall want to sign two more players before the end of the transfer window.

The Saddlers have made a slow start to life in League Two and are keen on two attacking signings, as per a report by the Express and Star.

They have won once out of their five games so far this season and find themselves 19th in the table following their relegation from the third tier in the last campaign.

Darrell Clarke’s side have aims of an immediate promotion this term and still have plenty of time to turn it around.

He has said he is eager to bring in a couple of new faces this week to bolster their chances, as per the Express and Star: “I’d like to bring in two attack-minded players by the end of the window and I’ll make sure that happens. It is easier said than done, you have your one target, you two target and your three target. But we will have two new players.”

“Hopefully they will be with us before Grimsby to be honest with you because we need a little bit more and something a bit different up top so that when we are dominating games we take our opportunities.”

He added: “I think we deserve more, I think our performances warrant more. But you don’t get those points unless you put the ball in the back of the net. And that’s where we are struggling at the minute.”
