Rotherham United boss Paul Warne has made no secret oft he fact that he is looking to further bolster his ranks before the end of the transfer window on September 2nd. The Millers are in talks over a deal for a new centre-back with Warne keen to provide more cover for the likes of Michael Ihiekwe, Clark Robertson and Richard Wood.

And, a new winger is also on his shopping list. While the identity of the winger is still unknown, Warne has said he is from the Championship and will be making a trip down south to try and “sell him the dream”.

“I’m definitely going to meet a wide man with a Championship club next week,” Warne said.

“We need to reinforce. We’re constantly on it. I’m driving south and see a player and try to sell him the dream. The player would hopefully improve us but I’ve got to convince him there’s a reason to come.

“We definitely need a wide outlet. We were screaming out for one against Burton. But we’ve won our two league away games playing three upfront so that system is not too bad.
