A report from the Daily Mail has claimed that West Brom attacker Oliver Burke is considering making a move abroad, with a number of clubs from the German Bundesliga said to be keen on signing Burke.
Since his big-money move from Nottingham Forest to RB Leipzig back in 2016, Oliver Burke has struggled to show the form that earned him a move to the Bundesliga side. After a difficult season with Leipzig, he then moved back to England with West Brom for another hefty transfer fee.
In his time with West Brom, Burke has played 23 times, scoring once and providing one assist. He has made two substitute appearances in the Championship so far and looks likely to take up a familiar back-up role at the Hawthorns over the course of the new season, with a number of attacking options available to Slaven Bilic after a busy deadline day.
Now, it has been claimed that Burke is now considering his options, with clubs from the Bundesliga said keen on bringing him in before the European transfer window closes at the end of the month. No German clubs are named in the report from the Daily Mail, but sides are said to be weighing up an approach for the Scottish international.
Burke featured in the Baggies’ midweek defeat against Millwall in the Carabao Cup, with Slaven Bilic saying that he was impressed with the 22-year-old’s energy, going on to add that he was hoping that Burke could score soon and reignite the form that caused excitement a few seasons ago.
