According to a report from Turkish outlet Fanatik, as cited by Sport Witness, Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are keen to sign Nottingham Forest defender Yohan Benalouane.
The transfer window for European clubs remains open, and a number of players at English clubs could yet make a move away from their clubs this summer. One man who is attracting European attention is Nottingham Forest centre-back Yohan Benalouane.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce are said keen on signing Benalouane this summer, having already brought in defender Mathias Jorgensen from Championship outfit Huddersfield Town earlier this month.
Lamouchi is looking to offload a number of players from his massive squad before the end of the month, but it is unlikely that Benalouane is one that the club will actively look to move on.
The report claims that the could sign a new deal with his current contract up at the end of the year. Benalouane is yet to make an appearance this season through suspension but could yet make his way in Lamouchi’s plans.
Since making the move to the City Ground in January of this year, Benalouane has played 14 times for Forest across all competitions, scoring one goal in the process. Competition for places in Lamouchi’s side is rife, with Benalouane competing with Joe Worrall, Tobias Figueiredo, Michael Dawson, Michael Hefele, Alexander Milosevic and summer signing Chema all vying for a place in the starting eleven.
It will be interesting to see if Fenerbahce pursue a move for Benalouane or if they opt to look at other targets, with Frenchman Adil Rami also said to be on their radar.
