There are still lots of players who are free agents who could do a job for teams in League One. Here are five-

Will Keane- The ex-Manchester United striker was released by Championship side Hull City at the end of the season having spent the second-half of the last campaign on loan at Ipswich Town.

James Meredith- The Australian international left-back has got bags of experience in the Football League from previous spells at Shrewsbury Town, York City, Bradford City and Millwall and is believed to be weighing up his next career move.

Grant Ward- He was released by Ipswich at the end of the season after they were relegated from the Championship. Ward, who is 24 years-old, made 98 appearances for the Tractor Boys and chipped in with eight goals. The winger has had stints at Tottenham Hotspur, Chicago Fire, Coventry City and Rotherham United in the past.

Ross Wallace- The former Sunderland, Preston North End, Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday spent last season in League One with Fleetwood Town and is currently training with the Cod Army as he looks for a new club. He did well for them and would be a shrewd acquisition for someone.

Joel Lynch- The 31-year-old is an option for many clubs and is available after leaving QPR in May. He has racked up over 300 appearances in his career having had spells with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield Town and the Hoops in the past.
