Cardiff City added the finishing touches to their squad yesterday by bringing in two acquisitions.
Neil Warnock bolstered his attacking options by landing striker Isaac Vassell from fellow Championship side Birmingham City.
The Bluebirds swooped in ahead of Luton Town and Swansea City to bring the pacey forward to the Cardiff City Stadium. He will offer them more pace and power up front and will be looking to hit the ground running after a frustrating last couple of campaigns due to injury.
Cardiff then moved to sign experienced midfielder Marlon Pack from rivals Bristol City. The 28-year-old has joined his ex-Robins’ teammate Aden Flint in joining Cardiff this summer.
Pack, who has played over 450 games so far in his career, has penned a three-year deal with the Welsh side. He spent six seasons at Ashton Gate and was their captain.
He has also previously had spells with the likes of Portsmouth, Wycombe Wanderers, Dagenham and Redbridge and Cheltenham Town.
Here is how the Cardiff fans have reacted on Twitter to the signings of Vassell and Pack yesterday on transfer deadline day-
Now the dust has settled, glad deadline day is done. Vassell will give us a good option off the bench and Pack is exactly what we need to lead in the middle of the pitch. #CardiffCity #CityAsOne

We could've done with another couple of signings especially after losing Reid and Cunningham but Glatzel and Vassell could be a very good partnership. Lets get behind the new players and hopefully we can get some good results! #ccfc #cardiffcity

I've had time to reflect on this. Admittedly at first I wasn't happy we sold Reid. But now Tomlin time to shine and with Marlon pack, someone I like I feel this could work in our favour. Let's turn this negativity into positive thought #bluebirds #DeadlineDay

Had high hopes for Cardiff in this transfer window, but instead we have left ourselves with one left back and right back for a 46 game season and LOANED our most creative and proven goalscorer in the championship to help strengthen a promotion rival 🤯🤯🤯🤯#CCFC
