Fulham have completed the signing of Cardiff City attacker Bobby Reid, bringing in the 26-year-old on a season-long loan deal, which could later become permanent at the end of the 2019/20 season.

We covered reports here on The72 claiming that Championship side Fulham were looking to sign attacker Bobby Reid from Cardiff City before the summer transfer window slammed shut, with Bristol City also said to be interested in bringing him back to Ashton Gate in a surprise reunion.

However, it is Fulham who have won the battle to sign Reid from Cardiff City. The former Bristol City man has joined on a loan deal and the option for the deal to become permanent next summer is included in the deal. He leaves the Bluebirds just one year after signing from Bristol City.

Reid struggled to nail down a place in Neil Warnock’s side last season as Cardiff City struggled for goals and ultimately were relegated back to the Championship. In his time with the club, he has played 30 times, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful spell with Bristol City after graduating from the academy. Reid made his breakthrough into senior football with the Championship side, going on to spend time on loan with Cheltenham Town, Oldham Athletic and Plymouth Argyle. He scored 29 goals and provided 19 assists in 158 games for the club.

Now that he has put pen to paper on a deal with Fulham, Reid will be looking to settle into his new team as Scott Parker looks to bounce back after relegation last season.
