West Brom set to beat Derby County and Middlesbrough to loan deal for Premier League winger

According to a report from Football Insider, West Brom have agreed a deal to sign West Ham United winger Grady Diangana on loan for the 2019/20 season, beating fellow Championship sides Derby County and Middlesbrough to an agreement.

We reported here on The72 earlier this week that Championship side West Brom had joined fellow second-tier sides Derby County and Middlesbrough in holding an interest in taking West Ham United youngster Grady Diangana on loan for the season, with Blackburn Rovers also being linked earlier this summer.

Now, it has been revealed by Football Insider that the Baggies have reached an agreement to sign Diangana in a deadline day deal, bringing him in to spend the season at The Hawthorns with Slaven Bilic and co.

Bilic knows Diangana well from when he was West Ham manager his links with the Hammers are likely to have helped him in fending off interest from fellow Championship sides to the signature of the 21-year-old starlet this summer.

Manuel Pellegrini has bought in a number of players at West Ham United over the course of the summer, resulting in Diangana falling down the pecking order somewhat. And, the former Manchester City boss has allowed the Hammers academy graduate to make a move away from the club on loan to add some more senior experience to his belt to help further his development.

Diangana played 17 times for West Ham last season, with all of them coming in the Premier League. He provided one assist in the process.
