Bristol City sign Monaco wonderkid with big £7.3 million bid

Bristol City have completed the signing of 18-year-old Han Noah Massengo from French team AS Monaco.

The central defensive midfielder has played a small number of games for Monaco, however, he is highly rated by many, including Thiery Henry who gave him a chance during his managerial role at Monaco.

The robins head coach, Lee Johnson, said, “He has a lot to learn but has the raw potential to be anything he wants. I believe this signing is a real sign that our reputation is spreading that a young talent like Han Noah is willing to join Bristol City and he sees his progression and his future here. I believe he can go to the very top of the game.” This signing does show a real statement of intent from Bristol City and Lee Johnson.

Bristol City are also one of the many teams interested in Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, if they make that signing on loan as well, Bristol City will be in an amazing position to push for an automatic promotion place or play-off place.

Before the start of the season, Bristol City fans were hoping for a chance at promotion after being so close to getting a playoff position in the last couple of years. With this signing done they will be even more hopeful even though of the poor performance vs Leeds.

Bristol City fans what are your thoughts on this transfer? Is £7.3 million expensive for an 18-year-old even though he is highly rated by many?
