Leeds Striker due to depart

According to Pieter-Jan Calcoen on Twitter (below), Roofe has completed a move to the Belgians and a contract has been signed.

During his three seasons with the Whites, Roofe has scored 28 goals in 110 games for the club. A record that is a fairly decent one, however, he is expected to leave the Whites within the next 24-48 hours.

Marcelo Bielsa said after yesterday’s impressive beating of Bristol City, “I can’t be happy if Roofe leaves if I tell you this when this striker made 15 goals last season, I would be stupid if I accept this situation. We have to adapt if it finally happens.”

Previous clubs that Kemar Roofe has played for include, Northampton, Colchester, Cheltenham and Oxford.

During his career, the striker has managed to play 208 games and score a respectable 66 goals.

Roofe was having a medical at Anderlecht today, the team managed by ex-Manchester City player and Legend Vincent Kompany.

Bielsa has said things that show Roofe will be leaving the club as well, including, “These were four players that needed to leave the club as we have to get financial Fairplay into shape so it was a necessity that the club had. We decided we want a team with 18 players. In the same time, we are in a few difficulties as if Roofe and Peacock-Farell leave, they were in the squad of 18 players we chose before.”

Leeds fans would you like to see Kemar Roofe stay? Or would you rather have the money to spend on a new striker?
