It seems as if Middlesbrough have finally struck a deal with Charlton for right back Anfernee Dijksteel.
The South London Press’s sports Editor Richard Cawley has announced that the London club’s valuation has been met buy Boro who have had no less than three bids turned down this week for the defender.

After Saturday’s victory over Blackburn Charlton boss Lee Bowyer appeared to be softening his stance on the situation and it now appears as if the defender will leave the club after Jonathan Woodgate’s side matched Charlton’s asking price.
After Saturday’s victory at Ewood Park Bowyer had this to say on the Dutchman’s future “I don’t know, if I’m honest. There’s obviously interest in him, but he’s a good player, so we’ll have to see. We’ll have to see what happens now. Hopefully, no one was here watching him today because he’s done really well. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
The offer is thought to be around the £2 million mark and the news will concern Charlton fans with another player leaving what is already a very thin looking squad.
The Northern Echo have also reported that Boro are hopeful that Charlton will now allow Dijksteel to travel to the North East where he will discuss personal terms and have a medical all ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Dijksteel is another player to come through the ranks at Charlton, he joined the clubs academy three and half years ago and has gone on to break into the first team and will become another one of Charlton’s home grown products that have moved on to pastures new this summer. He will follow Joe Aribo who left the club this summer to join Rangers.
