Hull City open to offers for left-back amid interest from Celtic

Celtic are interested in a move for Hull City left-back Stephen Kingsley.

The Hoops see him as an ideal replacement for if Arsenal target Kieran Tierney leaves them, according to a report by HITC Sport.

Hull are open to loaning or selling the defender before the end of the transfer window.

Kingsley, who is 25 years-old, joined the Tigers two years ago from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee and has since played 38 times for the Yorkshire side.

Injuries have affected his game time at the KCOM Stadium but he enjoyed regular first team action last season. However, Hull leaked a lot of goals in the last campaign and Kingsley may be seen as a weak link in their back line, hence why they may offload him this week to free up wage space.

The Stirling-born full-back started his career at Falkirk and rose up through their youth ranks. He made his debut for the Bairns in a league game against Partick Thistle in April 2011 aged just 16.

Kingsley went onto make 107 appearances for Falkirk before Swansea signed him in 2014. He played 19 times altogether for the Welsh side and also had loan spells away from the Liberty Stadium at Yeovil Town and Crewe Alexandra.

He could be on the move again this summer with Hull open to getting rid of him. Would he be a good signing for Celtic?
