Derby County man subject of offers from Preston North End and Brenford

According to a report from Football Insider, Brentford have made an offer to sign Derby County defender Max Lowe as The Bees look to resolve their left-back problems before the transfer window slams shut.

We reported here on The72 earlier this week that Preston North End had made a bid for Derby County man Max Lowe, and now it seems that the club are set to have to fight it out with a fellow Championship side if they want to bring Lowe in this summer.

Football Insider has reported that Brentford are looking to bring in a new left-back and have made a move to try and bring Lowe to Griffin Park. The Bees are keen to sign a new left-back before the transfer window closes as Thomas FRank looks to provide some cover and competition for Rico Henry.

Former Hull City defender Max Clark has also been watched by Brentford so it awaits to be seen if the club are successful in their rumoured pursuit of either of the left-backs.

Lowe has come through the youth academy at Derby County and made his breakthrough into senior football over the course of the past few years. He has spent the last year and a half on loan in Scotland with Aberdeen and after a successful stint with Drek McInnes, it will be interesting to see if he moves on from Pride Park this summer on a permanent basis or if Philip Cocu wants to keep him at the club to be in and around the first-team picture.
