Bristol City set to snap up wonderkid 18-year-old in £7.6 million deal

The 18-year-old wunderkind, Han Noah Massengo, is reportedly set to have a medical and join Bristol City for around £8 million.

The 18-year-old is the youngest French player to have featured in a Champions League match, and would truly be a fantastic addition to the squad. Fans are suggesting that the player will be announced at half time of their game vs Leeds United today.

Monaco fans seem to be baffled by the idea they are selling a player to Bristol City.

Surely, by this tweet Bristol City fans have the right to become very excited very quickly. The 18-year-old has played three games for Monaco in Ligue 1, but he has also made three appearances coming in the Champions League, meaning he must be good.

Bristol City have £22 million from selling Adam Webster to Brighton and Hove Albion and they haven’t wasted any time in starting to spend it.

It was first reported by Mohamed Bouhafsi, a respected French journalist who reported that an eight million euro fee had been agreed and that he would be in Bristol on the day of the Leeds game for a medical.

Being a Bristol City fan, I think that this is a really exciting transfer and could be a key player in helping the team clinch a place in the playoffs. Also if the signing does happen, the robins will have great squad depth going into the new season.

What are your thoughts on this transfer? Is £8 million a bit steep for an 18-year-old? Good business for the future when resold? Let us know.
