Reading announce Charlie Adam signing and have two more deals in the pipeline

Reading have announced the signing of Charlie Adam, and are closing in on Matt Miazga and Ovie Ejaria.

This news comes as a massive boost to Jose Gomes’s, as it was clear that the Portuguese boss was getting frustrated by the lack of signings in this summer window.

The Royals had been under a transfer embargo so far in this summer window, but Jose Gomes confirmed that the club have recently informed him that the ban is over.

And since then,  the Reading hierarchy have moved quickly to secure thier targets.

Charlie Adam was a free agent after leaving Stoke, and Reading have beaten his ex club Blackpool to securing his signature for the upcoming season.

Matt Miazga played for Reading last season on loan, and the Royals have yet again reached an agreement with Chelsea to take him back out on loan again for the upcoming season.

And that’s not all, as the Royals are also close to wrapping up a deal for Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria, who also spent last season at Reading.

Both Miazga and Ejaria deals are going to be loan deals.

Once both Miazga and Ejaria are announced- the Royals will then focus on securing a new striker for next season after their loan striker last season Nelson Oliveira completed a move to Greek side AEK Athens.

Reading have been linked to two strikers so far: Ross McCormack and Gary Hooper.

But it will be interesting to see who they end up with when the transfer window closes.
