Tom Adeyemi has shocked Birmingham City by handing the club a transfer request, reports Sky Sports News.
The 22-year-old impressed in the last 12 months since joining from Norwich City back in summer of 2013.
Birmingham City gaffer Lee Clark made Adeymei vice captain and he was a regular in what was a disappointing season for the Brummies, who narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the Championship season.
Adeyemi has a year to run on his contract but Sky Sports News suggests that he feels it’s time to move on.
