Leeds United

Danny Rose pushed towards Leeds United return- by his Father.

Very little surprises any of us within the allotted timescales of transfer windows anymore, but with the latest news coming from Jim White of Sky Sports will turn a few heads, even if the story is highly unlikely to happen.

Jim White is a notorious and cereal transfer window veteran, with tentacles that scale the length and breadth of the country when it comes to contacts, making him more “in the know” than most. But his friendship with a certain England International’s Father has brought about a juicy little story this morning.

According to Jim, he knows Danny Rose’s Father, Nigel, fairly well, and the players Dad actually got in touch with the broadcaster to explain where he would like to see his son playing when he leaves Tottenham Hotspur…

White said;

“What I can tell you, and it’s quite amusing, I know Nigel Rose, Danny’s dad quite well”

“Tongue-in-cheek he got in touch with me today and said: ‘Jim I’d love for him to go back to Leeds United, the home of the beautiful game”.

“I’m not too sure that’s going to happen Nigel but you tickled me with that this morning.”

So apparently, Rose (29), who has been publicly disposed of by the London Club, with them openly stating that they will not be involving him in their pre-season plans to give him time to arrange his future, is looking for another club.

It is highly unlikely that Leeds will be Rose’s next destination, but they are his boyhood and hometown club, he left Leeds United to join Spurs in 2007 in a £1m deal.

However, wages would create the biggest stumbling block, along with the undoubted interference with his international career.

Also, PSG seem to have a keen eye on the Leeds-born full-back, so that would be a solution that ticks the boxes required for Rose.

Leeds fans, would you like to see Rose back at Elland Road or is this just pipe dream?
