According to Sky Sports News reporter Lyall Thomas, Championship pair Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers have entered the chase for West Ham United flop Jordan Hugill, after a proposed move to Wigan Athletic fell through.
Sky Sports News reported Lyall Thomas has revealed that Wigan Athletic’s deal to sign West Ham United striker Jordan Hugill has fallen through, after it was claimed that the two clubs came to an agreement over a deal that would’ve seen the former Preston North End man head to the DW Stadium.

Now, with Wigan reportedly out of the mix – or at least hindered in their efforts to sign Hugill – Championship pair Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers will look to pounce.
A number of Championship sides have been interested in signing Hugill this summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements by parent club West Ham. Former club Preston North End have also been credited with interest in Hugill this summer.
Hugill’s time with West Ham has not gone as he would’ve hoped. Since making the move to the club, he has played only three times for the club’s first team, going out on loan for the 2018/19 season in order to guarantee some game time. He spent last season with Middlesbrough, where he scored seven goals and provided two assists in 41 games across all competitions.
The striker has shown he can be prolific in the Championship, impressing in the second-tier with Preston before making his move to West Ham. But, it will be interesting to see where he will be playing his football next season, with the start of the new campaign just weeks away.
