Last season was one of “could’ve been’s” for Leeds United and their ever-optimistic supporters, but along with poor chance conversion and lack of transfer activity in January, many fans would agree that injuries were one of the main reasons that the club fell just short of a return to the Premier League.
Leeds were hit with an extraordinary number of casualties along the course of the 2018/19 season, with most of the entire squad suffering at one time or another, including long term stints on the medics table for the likes of Patrick Bamford, Gaetano Berardi and Barry Douglas.
With pre-season firmly under way this summer, the squad have racked up three wins and a loss to rivals Manchester United so far, with more fixtures planned before the season opener at the start of August, with injuries at a minimal rate so far.
However, following their fixture with their old foes from over The Penines, which was played in Perth, the club moved to update fans on their injury matters via Twitter.
Here is that post from Leeds United’s Official Twitter account…

With Leeds confirming that duo Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas sustained minor injuries during the game with Man U. Stuart Dallas received a gash above the eye in an accidental coming together with Anthony Martial while Adam Forshaw received a knock following a clattering late challenge from Ashley Young, this challenged sparked a little “handbags at dawn” just befor the final whistle sounded.
But some Leeds fans fear their injury hoodoo may be set to continue following the news, some of the better reactions, here…
Small squad, same end result, run out of steam, thought Bielsa would have learnt from last season.

Dallas has been cleared of any concussion and will be available for the game vs Western Sydney on Saturday, but Forshaw could miss out dependant on a late fitness test.
