Birmingham City have joined the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Bright Enobakhare according to Birmingham Live.
Enobakhare spent the second half of last season on loan at nearby Coventry City and impressed during his spell and the Sky Blues are also identifying the striker as one of their main transfer targets this summer.
Coventry are believed to have made a bid of around £600,000 but should the interest from Birmingham increase, they could face a real battle to capture his signature with him being of Championship interest.
Che Adams has already departed St. Andrews for Southampton and Blues are now looking to increase competition in their striking department as they look to replace the void left by Adams’ departure.
He scored six goals in 18 league appearances and displayed sensational form on occasions making him a firm favourite amongst the Sky Blues supporters.
Wolves have extended the youngster’s contract highlighting the potential and faith they clearly have in him however he was left out of their pre-season trip to Asia which could hint that a move may be on the horizon.
He was in and around the squad during their promotion winning campaign but he has struggled for game time since their return to the Premier League and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side entering Europe this season they will be looking for a more experienced man to compete with Raul Jimenez to lead their attacking line.
The Premier League side have been linked with Salomon Rondon of West Bromwich Albion but he looks to be heading to China to link up with Rafa Benitez once more.
