gleesonAnother of Lee Clark’s summer arrivals, Stephen Gleeson, could be one to watch for Birmingham this season.

The midfielder joined from MK Dons on a free transfer and his exploits are likely to prove vital, especially as Tom Adeyemi is poised to leave St Andrew’s following a transfer request made by the player.

Gleeson arrives from stadium:mk where he was highly-rated by Dons fans after spending five years at the club.

The Republic of Ireland international was described as “a leader, an organiser and most importantly a great talent” by one MK Dons fan, reflecting upon his time at the club where he made over 200 appearances in all competitions.

Gleeson, 26, is another of Birmingham’s signings to experience an encouraging pre-season where Blues supporters got a taste of the midfielder’s impressive passing ability and determination.
