The Lions faced Braga last night and were narrowly beaten by the Portuguese giants and speaking to Millwall’s Official Site, Thompson said “It was good minutes for everyone”
“They’ve got a great squad and some of the football they play is outstanding. The way they pass it about, the technique, the sharpness they’ve got – it’s second to none. That is where you aspire to be as a player.
“As a team we played extremely well compared to where we were at last year. I think we’re a better team now and that showed out there.
“The training has been good – the standard of it has been brilliant. Everyone looks fit, sharp and ready to go. We’re looking forward to the season.”
