According to respected journalist Alan Nixon, Brentford are attempting to bring in Blackpool defender Marc Bola, who was reportedly on the radar of fellow Championship side Luton Town earlier this summer.
It was covered here on The72 that Luton Town were reportedly keen to bring in Blackpool defender Marc Bola ahead of their return to Championship football. And, if they have maintained their interest in Bola, it looks likely that they will have to beat a fellow second-tier side to his signature.
The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has claimed on Twitter (see below) that Brentford are looking to do a deal with the Tangerines to bring Bola to Griffin Park this summer as Thomas Frank looks to continue with his impressive summer of recruitment.

Bola only joined Blackpool last summer, but his impressive performances in his first season with the club have attracted the attention of Championship sides.
The 21-year-old started his career in the Arsenal youth academy, making his way through the Under-18s (five games, one goal) and the Under-23s (30 games, one goal and one assist). He has also played 16 times for the club’s UEFA Youth League side, collecting experience on a European youth level.
The London born youngster picked up first-team experience while on loan with Notts County (13 games, one assist) and Bristol Rovers (23 games, one assist) before leaving Arsenal on a free transfer to join Blackpool. Last season, he played 43 games, scoring twice and providing three assists.
Now, despite only just penning a one-year contract extension, it will be interesting to see if the League One side fight off Championship interest in Bola or are tempted into moving him on.
