Plymouth Argyle in talks to sign forward from Wolverhampton Wanderers

Plymouth Argyle are in advanced talks to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Niall Ennis according to Football Insider.

The Premier League side are prepared to loan out their striker this transfer window as he bids to gain more first team experience away from Molineux.

With Wolves entering European football next season it appears that Ennis will be way down the pecking order for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

There has been plenty of interest in Ennis from many football league clubs and it seems that Plymouth are winning the race for his signature.

The England Under 19 international is highly regarded by the Wolves hierarchy as they believe him to have a lot of potential for the future.

The youngster has come through the ranks at the Midlands club and has already gained international experience at youth level for England.

It has now been an easy ride for Ennis during his development as he has battled back from two serious injuries in his career and he has been a regular scorer for Wolves’ Under-23s side.

Plymouth boss Ryan Lowe will be looking to bolster his attacking options this summer, having lost last season’s top scorer Freddie Ladapo to Rotherham United.

There is a lot of potential for Plymouth to have a good season as they look to aim for promotion and the signing of Ennis would be a quality addition as he is considered to be one of the brightest, young talents to come through the Wolves academy.

Ennis needs first team experience at this stage of his career and he is highly unlikely to get this at Wolves, therefore a move to Home Park would be ideal as he looks as though he could make a real impact in League Two.
