Swansea City eyeing up loan move for former Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City loanee

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Championship side Swansea City are eyeing up a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer.

Kasey Palmer has spent a large chunk of his senior career out on loan in the Championship, spending time in the second tier with Huddersfield Town, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City. Now, it has been claimed that he could make another move to the second tier ahead of the season.

Swansea City boss Steve Cooper has reportedly identified Palmer as a possible option to reinforce his attacking options and is considering a loan move for the playmaker.

With parent club Chelsea, Palmer is yet to make an appearance for the first-team but has played plenty for the club’s youth sides. The 22-year-old has featured 39 times for the club’s Under-23s, scoring 10 goals and assisting three times. He has also played 16 times in the UEFA Youth League, scoring six and laying on two assists.

In his time with Huddersfield Town, Palmer played 32 times, scoring five goals and assisting four goals. He spent half a season with Derby County as well, netting twice and providing one assist before spending the first of last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers, scoring three in 17 games during his time at Ewood Park.

He enjoyed a successful 17 games spell with Bristol City and was linked with a return to Ashton Gate this summer. But, with Swansea City reportedly lining up a move, Palmer could be heading for another new destination.
