In a summer where Leeds United have seen more ups and downs than most, already the fans heads are in a spin at the transfer activity the club have embarked on. But are the club making plans ahead of any departures?

Three players are being touted to leave Elland Road this summer, all three were first team regulars last season and one of which is a home-grown hero. Will the fans forgive any departures if the replacements are sufficient? Or will it be more misery for the fans of the West Yorkshire club?

Kiko Casilla has been subject of scrutiny by his own club, with reports surfacing that the Spanish International is high on the list of earners at Elland Road and the club are looking to bring down the wage fees. Reports suggest that a move back to Spain is being sought and that United will look to reignite their interest in Newcastle stopper Karl Darlow as a replacement.

Kalvin Phillips is hugely on the fence, with some reports suggesting he has already signed a new contract but others stating the situation is still fragile, so in the case of his departure, Leeds would need a replacement. Romain Sawyers of Brentford could be that replacement. Sawyers is on the wanted list for Leeds, but has already been the subject of a £2m bid from Celtic.

Also, Kemar Roofe is attracting interest from both Rangers and some Premier League clubs, with a bid thought to be imminent for the striker, who has twelve months remaining on his Elland Road contract, Leeds could do much worse than look at Dwight Gayle as a replacement. Gayle is a man with plenty of Championship experience and has enjoyed huge success in front of goal, but there have been no concrete reports regarding Leeds’ interest just yet.
