4 Players that should Impress for Leeds United this Season

Matt SmithMatt Smith

He made an impressive debut in the Championship last year and was second top scorer for the Whites behind Ross McCormack with 12 goals.  At 6ft 6inches, Smith was always a threat in the air and most of his goals came off his head. Now that McCormack has left he will become the main man in front of goal and be the target for crosses into the box.  He became something of a fans favourite last season and his relationship with top scorer McCormack one of the determining factors of him gaining the Golden Boot last season.

It will be interesting to see how Smith gets on without McCormack and his new teammates.  It will also be interesting to see how he plays with a new boss, who wants to play a different system to what Smith learnt under Brian McDermott.  Goals from Matt Smith this season could determine a good season or a bad season for Leeds.
