Leeds United, Stoke City and Swansea City keen on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder

A host of Championship clubs are keen on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe.

The 19-year-old is likely to leave the Premier League side on loan for next season to gain some first team experience, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

Second tier sides such as Leeds United, Stoke City, Swansea City, Derby County, Huddersfield Town and Reading have been credited with an interest in him.

Oakley-Boothe has found senior opportunities at Spurs hard to come by and only has a year left on his contract with the London club. He rose up through the youth ranks there and made his debut in a League Cup game against Barnsley in September 2017.

The new Swansea boss Steve Cooper knows him well from managing him for England Under-17’s at the European Championships in 2017 and wants to bring him to the Liberty Stadium this summer.

Leeds have been busy recently as Marcelo Bielsa’s bolsters his squad as they look to go for promotion again next season. The Whites have brought in Jack Harrison from Manchester City again as well as Wolves winger Helder Costa.

The Yorkshire side may now move for Oakley-Boothe to bring some more options and depth into their midfield ranks.

Stoke are also being linked with him. The Potters have been very active in this transfer window as Nathan Jones looks to put his own stamp on them.

It is a big season ahead for Oakley-Boothe who will be eager to impress in the Championship and will not be short of options.
