According to a report from the Derby Telegraph, Derby County are interested in Everton’s young midfielder Kieran Dowell, who is also on the radar of fellow Championship pair Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic.
It has been reported over the early stages of the summer transfer window that Championship duo Huddersfield Town and Wigan Athletic have been looking to bring Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell in on loan for the 2019/20 season. And, it seems like they will have more opposition for the youngster’s signature.
Derby County are reportedly also interested in signing Dowell this summer. Everton are said to be willing to allow the 21-year-old head out on loan again, having spent the last season and a half away from Goodison Park on loan in the Championship.
The England youth international spent the 2017/18 season on loan with Nottingham Forest, where he scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 43 games across all competitions. He spent the second half of last season on loan with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United, helping the club win promotion to the Premier League in his 12 games for the club, netting twice and providing one assist along the way.
Toffees boss Marco Silva rates Dowell and sees him as a promising young talent, but is keen for him to make a move away from the club this summer with chances at Goodison Park limited. And, with three Championship sides keen to bring him in, he is not short of options as he heads into the new season.
