A report from Football Insider has claimed that Championship trio Birmingham City, Hull City and Wigan Athletic are all keen to buy Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is looking to shape his squad ahead of the new season, with their return to the Premier League on the horizon. And, with a number of new players set to come in, he will be looking to move on some players who have fallen down the pecking order.

Striker Leon Clarke looks likely to be one of the men to make a move away from Bramall Lane this summer, and three Championship sides have been credited with interest in the experienced man. Birmingham City. Hull City and Wigan Athletic are all said to be keen on the 34-year-old, with a move away on the cards for Clarke.

Wigan brought Clarke in on loan for the second half of last season and are keen to bring him back to the DW Stadium after his three goals helped them secure their place in the Championship. Blues are looking to replace Che Adams but will have to do so on a limited budget, identifying Clarke as a possible option. New Hull boss Grant McCann is also interested in bringing the striker in this summer with a new striker on his shopping list.

Clarke has amassed plenty of Football League experience over the course of his career. He has played 285 Championship games and played 160 League One matches, scoring 147 goals along the way. Now, he looks set for a change of scenery ahead of the new season.
