Kieffer Moore, a Barnsley Striker has been linked with a move to Bristol City for some time now, and this piece of information that he hasn’t travelled with the squad on their preseason tour may be good news for Robins fans.

In the Bristol post, it was reported by Gregor Macgregor, that Kieffer Moore hasn’t travelled with the Barnsley squad on their preseason tour. He mentions two reasons of why this could be, one could be due to an imminent transfer to another team, or the other reason may be due to a recent injury.

Bristol City have needed a proven goalscorer for the past season, and if they would have had that striker last season they would no doubt have clinched the last play off spot. The reason this is obvious is because the Robins missed the most clear cut chances out of any other team in the championship last season.

During Barnsley’s promotion to the championship Kieffer Moore scored 21 goals in 51 league appearances, and with Famara Diedhiou by his side I believe he would be able to do it in the Championship aswell.

The addition would be Bristol City’s 7th signing of the summer, so some good recruitment has been made by the Robins and Lee Johnson.

Overall, being a Bristol City fan, I think that Matty Taylor and Antoine Semenyo should both be given chances next season as they are both very good strikers in their own ways and I believe they can both score goals for the Robins next season. However, the addition of a proven striker would also be very good.
