Sheffield United snap up striker

Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of Michael Higdon from Dutch second division side NEC Nijmegen.

The Blades’ Twitter announced the signing in the last few moments.

The Liverpool born striker,  who netted 113 goals in 195 games in Scottish football,  spent just one season in Holland as NEC Nijmegen were relegated from the Dutch topflight, despite Higdon’s 14 league goals.
