10 players that should impress in The Championship this season

Michael Jacobs – Wolves

Michael JacobsAfter impressing at Northampton Town for two seasons, Michael Jacobs moved to Derby in 2012 but never really managed to break in the team. To his credit he pushed for a loan move at Wolves and, after impressing at Molineux, managed to earn a permanent move. Jacobs is a relatively quick, skilful wide player with a very strong right foot and he won the League 1 player of the month for February last season. Jacobs notched seven goals for Wolves after he signed for the club and if he can nail down a first team place for the whole season he could easily double that this time around. Wolves will be hoping to improve on the last time they were in the Championship and, whilst Jacobs isn’t the biggest name in the squad, he could provide the creative difference between being successful or not.
