10 players that should impress in The Championship this season

Lewis Dunk –Brighton

DunkWith Matthew Upson gone this could be the season where Lewis Dunk comes of age. The 22-year-old centre-back has been knocking on the door for a couple of years now and this looks as though it’ll be the season where he gets his big chance. New manager Sami Hyppia has handed Lewis Dunk a new long-term contract this summer which shows how much he values the defender and this is likely to give Dunk the necessary motivation to nail down a first-team place this season. Brighton do have plenty of defensive quality in the likes of Gordon Greer and Aaron Hughes but if Dunk continues his development then it won’t be long before he displaces one of them in the team and helps Brighton continue their long-term assault to win promotion to the Premier League.
