Rangers have signed midfielder Joe Aribo from Charlton Athletic, as announced by their official club website. Here are five players the Addicks could sign to replace him-
George Dobson, Walsall- The highly-rated midfielder could leave the Saddlers this summer after their relegation to League Two. Dobson, who is 21 years-old, has played for London sides Arsenal and West Ham United in the past.
Tom Adeyemi- He is a free agent and an option for Charlton. The 27-year-old has bags of Championship experience under his belt from previous spells at Norwich City, Birmingham City, Cardiff City, Leeds United, Rotherham United and Ipswich Town.
Eunan O’Kane, Leeds United- The Republic of Ireland international has had his injury problems of late but could become available in this transfer market. He has played over 300 games in his career and could fill the void left by Aribo’s departure at the Valley.
Greg Docherty, Rangers- Could Lee Bowyer’s side try and bring Docherty to London as a replacement for Aribo? The former Scotland Under-21 international impressed on loan in League One with Shrewsbury Town last season.
Dru Yearwood, Southend United- The 19-year-old has already established himself as a key first-team player for Southend and would be an ideal long-term signing for Charlton. He is a player who they could try and sign this summer but there will no doubt be a lot of interest in him over the coming months.
